Collective Soul hit hard—and out of nowhere—in 1994 when "Shine" held airwaves hostage. They've had plenty of chart-toppers since then—"The World I Know," "Gel," "December"—but popularity and sales have faded since their lustrous beginning.
The band can also be credited with paving the way for rock radio heroes like Vertical Horizon and 3 Doors Down. Ed Roland & Co. were among the first in the '90s to revive the classic guitar-driven, album rock sound. Trend-setters, yes. But this band's never been accused of being musically or lyrically brilliant.

This Place is Pretty Cool
by Chief Wiggum - posted March 30, 2001
Hey, I really like this place. They have nice pool tables. The felt is so smooth, so nice...I can still feel it. They take such nice care of the felt... I've never felt anything so nice. They must brush it every night. Sometimes I wish I had a nice pool table. So i could take care of the felt. Felt is such an important thing. I wish more people took better care of their felt. |
I felt the felt too! It was incredible!

I know what you mean. The felt was a very nice quality. I'm thinking import, from Bangladesh. I don't think they've ever used cleaner on it, because you can still tell the condition of the felt is very close to original. I must tell the felt-society about this.. |
